Hillcrest provides a transitional housing program for homeless youth, ages 16-24. Youth housing sites are located in Kansas City, KS and Overland Park, KS and Independence, MO. Youth transitional housing is up to a 24-month program. During this time, Hillcrest provides a rent- and utility-free apartment, access to a food pantry, and case management.
Independence Housing Authority strives to provide safe, clean and affordable housing to low income families and individuals through Section 8 vouchers. Anyone in need of housing is eligible to apply.

HPC Young Adult Housing Program provides safe housing, supportive case management, educational and employment guidance with life skills classes for homeless young adults and/or teen parents between the ages of 17-23. Participants may remain in the program based upon the desired life track chosen. This program is designed with four different tracks including a college, trade specific high school/Hi-set, as well as career and employment tracks to ensure participants graduate the program with a skill set that will provide them higher than minimum wage employment.
The Cornerstones of Care Pathways Transitional Living Program offers safe housing and wrap-around supportive services for young adults, 16-23, who are aging out of the foster care system or who have been unhoused. At Pathways, youth complete their education and learn life skills that they need in order to become more self-sufficient. A group home and apartments are located in Kanas City, MO and Kansas City, KS.

The transitional housing program provides 90 days of rent and utility free housing, in a private, fully furnished apartment, to homeless households. Adults in the household are required to find and maintain 30-40 hours per week of employment upon program entry, and to attend weekly counseling sessions in budgeting, case management, life-skills, and community living, to support the skills necessary for independent living.
