Highland Nursing Center provides senior rehabilitation and skilled nursing.

Offers hot nutritious meals, home delivered meals, educational, recreational and health programs, I&R, outreach, telephone reassurance, volunteerism and other activities.

This is a membership based program that provides minor home repair and maintenance task, computer trouble shooting, an annual home safety assessment, information and referral and social and educational opportunities to help older adults maintain their independence at home. Minor home repairs include fixing toilets, replacing thermostats, cleaning dryer vents, adding weather stripping, cleaning gutters, replacing batteries in smoke detectors, and installing grab bars or handrails.

Provides emotional and educational therapy through the use of trained and evaluated pets. Volunteers take their own dogs and cats to visit patients in area hospitals and care facilities and to visit students in area schools.

Provides basic computer classes.

Provides food, shelter, advocacy, and education in a safe and loving environment for mothers in crisis situations and their unborn children. In the shelter 2-3 residents or families share a bedroom, community kitchen and bathroom. Residents can remain in the program up to 3 months after the child's birth.

An EOC counselor can assist in researching various careers through career assessment, vocational interests, skills, and values.

Veracity is a weekly group for men who use power and control tactics in their relationships. Veracity teaches how to use non-violent and non-controlling ways in relating with others.

The Missouri Board of Probation and Parole, as an essential part of the criminal justice system, is to provide for the professional assessment and release of offenders and their supervision in the community, using appropriate treatment, sanctions, and controls, with the primary consideration being promotion of public safety.

Provides in-patient and outpatient rehabilitation, including speech therapy.

Offers broad range of information: topics include nutrition, business, personal budgeting, gardening, babysitting, 4-H youth, etc. Speakers available. If they don't have a specialist in their area, they work with other extension offices to find the program.

Life Skills Classes: Offers classes in budgeting, couponing 101, energy savers, good neighbor, home-ownership, building strong families, nutrition and self-esteem. All classes are three hours in length, home-ownership runs six weeks, participants are given pre and post test.

Provides window air conditioner units to senior citizens, individuals who have no other air conditioning service in their home and either above age 60 years old, physically disabled, or critically ill.

Provide Prescription Payment Assistance

Core, Intensive and Academic Program: provides work training assistance to adults who are low-income and/or receiving public assistance and are unemployed.

4-H is about young people making new friends and memories while preparing to be future leaders - from both rural and urban areas! The 4-H model has been incorporated into a variety of programs to help meet the needs of today's youth and to enrich our communities.

Provides free Bibles for those who need one.

OAI provides various employment preparation and job training skills to eligible applicants: search/placement, on the job training, retraining, work experience, interview training, job readiness, resume preparation and prevocational training.

Adult Protective Services (APS) responds to reports of abuse, neglect or exploitation of adults.
