GSGBC's Program takes place at our Soulard campus, as well as afterschool at St. Frances Cabrini Academy and St. Cecilia School. Programs are offered in six competency areas: Academic Support & Assistance; Athletics, Aquatics, & Recreation; Character Building; Healthy Living; Visual & Performing Arts; and College & Career Readiness, all in a trauma-informed framework. This provides youth with tools to acquire skills and strengthen academic performance, while developing relationships and building confidence with a network of motivated peers.

Houses fire equipment and trains firefighters necessary for a quick and efficient response to fires when they occur.

Home Modification: Will install grab bars and accessible showers. Program is funded by private corporations, some modifications may not always be available or there may be a waiting list.

Provides outpatient therapy, psychiatry, Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation (CPR) for Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) youth and adults.

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families: Provides benefits to families with needy children (due to death, desertion, mental, physical problems or unemployment).

Accepts donations of general clothing items.

Offers broad range of information: topics include nutrition, business, personal budgeting, gardening, babysitting, 4-H youth, etc. Speakers available. If they don't have a specialist in their area, they work with other extension offices to find the program.

Providing breakfast and lunch for children and youth.

Equipment provided such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, ostomy supplies, prosthetic devices, body braces and therapeutic shoes/inserts (for diabetes patients). Other equipment provided include benches, walkers, canes, and glucose monitors. Also assists with adult diapers and Pedialyte if prescribed by doctor

Accepts donations of gently used formal wear.

Summer camp.

Provides fun and recreation with opportunities for active learning experiences. Each phase of summer and year-round programming is designed to promote individual growth and positive relationships.

Public county health department offers treatment for patients with HIV.

Offers gynecological exams, pregnancy tests, PAP smears, breast exams, emergency and low-cost contraceptives, STD screening and treatment, and the HPV vaccine. Specially-trained nurse practitioners and physicians provide health exams in a pleasant and confidential atmosphere.

Provides assistance in getting housekeeping and respite services for seniors through various agencies in the area; these services are provided to help keep the Seniors living independently for as long as possible.

The Warmline can provide information to families or stroke survivors about various support groups.

Provides probation supervision.

Providing administrative services and other school services for Cole County R-1 School District school locations.

Offers classes and courses in life saving techniques, such as CPR training.

Administering the LIHEAP program to assist with propane fuel and wood for St. Louis City and Wellston residents as well as administering the other electric and gas assistance programs. Accepting applications for:

• Elderly and Disabled Households on November 2, (pledges will not be made until December 1)
• All other households on December 4, (pledges will not be made until January 4)
