UHBH’s Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Unit is a short-term, crisis stabilization center for patients 18 years of age and older. Patients receive round-the-clock nursing care and daily program structure, which provides a safe environment during treatment. We tailor care plans to address the needs of each patient. Comprehensive services can include: individual and group therapy, education about medication, nutrition, pain management and wellness, and recreation therapy. Admissions require medical clearance and transfer from the emergency room closest to the patient’s location.

The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities.
