Provides clothing vouchers to the St. Vincent DePaul thrift store to those who are unable to purchase clothing on their own.

MoRx was created by the 93rd General Assembly to coordinate benefits with Medicare's (Part D) Prescription Drug Program, and to provide additional assistance for prescription drug costs to Missourians in need. MoRx pays for 50% of members' out of pocket costs remaining after their Medicare Prescription Drug Plan pays. It pays for 50% of the deductible, 50% of the co-pays before the coverage gap, 50% of the coverage gap, and 50% of co-pays in the catastrophic coverage. MoRx does not pay for the Medicare Part D Plan's monthly premium. MoRx uses the formulary of the Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Any drug covered by a member's Medicare Drug Plan will also be covered by the MoRx plan. MoRx works with all Medicare Prescription Drug Plans. Dual eligible members will continue to have coverage for Medicare-excluded drugs through MO HealthNet. Medicare-excluded drugs include specific over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, minerals, limited cough and cold drugs, benzodiazepines and barbiturates as they are currently covered by MO HealthNet, as noted on the MO HealthNet Division Pharmacy pages. Extra help with paying for Medicare Part D costs is available from the Social Security Administration (SSA) for individuals with low income and limited assets. All dual eligibles automatically qualify for the extra help in paying for their premiums and co-pays. Other individuals may submit an application for extra help to the SSA.

Public library offering books, music CD's, DVDs, and videos for loan and a computer lab for public use. Also offers meeting room space for outside groups and a variety of educational programs for all ages. Library service is funded through a voted property tax of citizens living within the Joplin Public Library district. The district includes all of the city that is within Jasper County. Only part of the city within Newton County is within its funding district.

Energy Assistance or EA is a program that provides financial assistance to help pay the primary fuel source for heating bills during the months of October through March

Prepares sentencing assessment reports and make recommendations to court regarding amenability to probation; supervises probationers referred by the court and parolees referred by Parole Board. Community Service Program refers offenders to non-profit approved agencies for specified hours of non-compensated work. Volunteer/Intern Program assists officers with offender supervision and other programs.

Equipment provided such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, ostomy supplies, prosthetic devices, body braces and therapeutic shoes/inserts (for diabetes patients). Other equipment provided include benches, walkers, canes, and glucose monitors. Also assists with adult diapers if prescribed by doctor.

Section 8 housing program

Artists First for Veterans: Provides a studio fully stocked with professional art supplies, facilitated by trained artists, where veterans can choose what they want to express and create. The program supports the development of positive self-identity, self-expression and community reintegration through the arts.

Operates as the Police for Valmeyer, Illinois responsible for protecting lives and property.
