Responsible for the coordination of emergency management activities including planning, preparedness, response and recovery. Serves as the central point of contact for reporting emergency/disaster incidents in Benton County, Missouri.

When it is in the child’s best interest to return home, KVC leads the state in ensuring children are reintegrated into their home within 12 months. When a court decides parents are not able to meet the safety and care needs of the child, KVC works to find relatives of the child who are able to care for the child or matches children with adoptive forever families.

The transitional housing program provides 90 days of rent and utility free housing, in a private, fully furnished apartment, to homeless households in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Adults in the household are required to find and maintain 32-40 hours per week of employment upon program entry, and to attend weekly counseling sessions in budgeting, case management, life-skills, and community living, to support the skills necessary for independent living.
