Mid-Continent Public Library is a public library system in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The library offers varied programming for children and adults, including book clubs, story times, job finding classes and technology instruction. The library also schedules adult enrichment programs, such as cooking and arts and crafts instruction.

WILS provides access to information geared toward promoting independent living. WILS also provides referral services to groups and agencies that handle specific issues or have programs suitable to an individual’s needs in the community.

The Housing Authority provides assistance to low-income residents for affordable housing, weatherization and home repair.

The purpose of the MO HealthNet program is to provide medical services to persons who meet certain eligibility requirements as determined by FSD. The goals of the MO HealthNet program are to promote good health, to prevent illness and premature death, to correct or limit disability, to treat illness, and to provide rehabilitation to persons with disabilities. Eligible persons receive a "MO HealthNet Identification Card" or a letter from the local FSD office. The Family Support Division (FSD) determines client eligibility for the MO HealthNet program: the MO HealthNet Division administers the MO HealthNet program including establishment of benefit coverage, rates, claims processing, and all other aspects of daily operations.

Supervised, structured programs that offer a wide range of outpatient services which may be coordinated by a case manager and may include individual and group counseling.

The Children's Division actively seeks individuals and couples who are willing to become foster parents for the children in the State's custody. Prospective foster parents take a total of 27 hours of training on five competencies necessary to work with the children in CD custody and their families.

Licensed caring professionals to help caregivers of all veterans by providing information about assistance available from the VA, helping callers access services, connecting caregivers with the Caregiver Support Coordinator at their local VA Medical Center, and listening to caregiver concerns. In addition, caregivers of veterans who were seriously injured in the line of duty on or after September 11, 2001 may be eligible for additional services.
