Through individual services and caregiver groups our staff helps parents and caregivers learn advanced parenting skills, including recognizing how the sad and scary events of the past may be impacting their child’s behaviors. This helps the adults better understand and adapt to their child’s needs and development. Using a comprehensive approach, this program considers the family relationship and development of the whole child.

Provides a building where fire engines and fire equipment are stored. Location provides space for training to firefighters so they can respond to fires.

Acting as a cooling center when a heat advisory has been issued. Serves breakfast beginning at 7:00am (fees vary) and lunch beginning at 11:00am ($6.00 for individuals under 60 years old).

Offers gynecological exams, pregnancy tests, PAP smears, breast exams, emergency and low-cost contraceptives, STD screening and treatment, and the HPV vaccine. Specially-trained nurse practitioners and physicians provide health exams in a pleasant and confidential atmosphere.

Provides pre vocational training where habilitative goals are developed to address communication in the workplace, ability to follow tasks and directions, workplace problem solving and safety. Career planning is also addressed through job exploration, job shadowing, assessment of interests

Stress management services available.

The Children's Division Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline Unit (CA/NHU) accepts confidential reports of suspected child abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Reports are received through a toll-free telephone line which is answered seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Any person may report, and anonymous reports are accepted from individuals who are not mandated by occupation to report. Calls of concern can be made to each county office. Instructions may be given for the reporter to call the toll free number of the CA/NHU for the call to be made into a formal report.

Responsible for the control and extinction of fires in urban or wilderness areas.

Provides children immunizations.

Provides medical social work.

Accepts a wide range of donations that are not in need of repair; donations may be sold as a way to earn money for the program; a donation pick-up service is not available.

Provides free haircuts and beard trims by a cosmetologist.

Health screenings are provided for the following: Cardiovascular, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and HIV, Diabetes, Lead, and tuberculosis. Other screenings available upon request.

Hospital services

Provides instruction in English as a Second Language.

Services include: CSTAR, women's substance abuse treatment, speakers bureau, behavioral healthcare unit, outpatient services, community support, women & children comprehensive substance treatment and rehabilitation, community and court services program. Transportation is available if it is within the service area. Kennett office offers inpatient treatment program.

This office allows you to appeal your Medicaid and submit complaints.

KDOT provides information about Kansas traffic, road conditions, construction and detours, and other travel information by phone or website.

Provides 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department including but not limited too diagnostic and treatment equipment, behavioral health unit, physical rehabilitation services, cardiology medicine and more.

Assists individuals with Medicare enrollment.

Women are eligible for: -Must be uninsured -Approved methods of contraception -STD testing and treatment, including pap tests and pelvic exams -Family planning, counseling, and birth control education -Drugs, supplies or devices for above services

Crisis Care for Kids: Provides 24-hour emergency care for children ages 0-12 whose families are in crisis. Children receive a medical exam, developmental assessment, three meals/three snacks daily, therapeutic activities utilizing the Nurtured Heart Approach and Art and Play Therapies, Occupational Therapy, clothing, toys, books, developmentally appropriate play.
