RSI has a sobering unit available to intoxicated persons.  They observe a patient while they lower their blood alcohol content/are sober enough to be admitted into detoxification.

Programs that provide for the placement of acutely intoxicated individuals in an appropriate nursing unit for periodic monitoring by staff in order to evaluate their condition and determine the need for admission to the hospital as an inpatient. Most facilities and insurers limit observation time to 23 hours, but some cover up to 48 hours when medically necessary.
