Job Corps is a no-cost education and career technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor that helps young people ages 16 through 24 train for and get a better job. At Job Corps, students enroll to learn a trade, earn a high school diploma or GED and get help finding a good job. When you join the program, you will be paid a monthly allowance; the longer you stay with the program, the more your allowance will be. Job Corps provides career counseling and transition support to its students for up to 12 months after they graduate from the program.

Vocational Rehabilitation and Special Education share responsibility in preparing youth with disabilities for transition from high school to post-high school employment, education, specialized training and independence. Provides assessment of individual to determine extent of disability and evaluates to determine types of work best suited to the individual.

The worksite mentoring program offers job readiness classes and case management to youth who need assistance in gaining and obtaining employment. A worksite mentor is assigned to the youth once employment is obtained. The mentor acts as a support for the youth while at work.
