Missouri Work Assistance (MWA) works with individuals to assist them in overcoming barriers that may prevent them from obtaining or keeping employment.

Save Our Sons: A four-week job readiness program assisting males to obtain gainful employment to earn a livable wage. Participants will also be engaged in Resume Writing, Mock Interviews, Do’s and Don’ts of the On-line Application Process, Financial Literacy, GED Classes, Post-Secondary Education, Trade and Apprenticeship Opportunities.

Doors to Success: A Case Manager works with participants in groups or one-on-one to help prepare them for employment by developing skills in the following areas, completing applications, interviewing, dressing appropriately for work and job retention. Participants will also complete job assessments to determine their vocational goals.

OAI provides various employment preparation and job training skills to eligible applicants: search/placement, on the job training, retraining, work experience, interview training, job readiness, resume preparation and prevocational training.

Employment services supports the job applicant in refining the tools needed to obtain and maintain employment- employment preparation and job development. Individualized instruction facilitates the matching of interests, skills and experiences with employer needs. Program length is determined by individual need.
