Homeless Veterans Employment Project: Prepare veterans for successful work situations and remove barriers to their full employment. This project provides housing, meals, clothing, medical, legal, employment, and a variety of supporting services, with sponsoring agencies.

3 month program that assists individuals get prepared for employment. Teaches skills such as professionalism, interview techniques, how to dress, and other general job readiness skills. Participants will recieve a monthly stypend for participating.

Employment Development: Provides job readiness classes covering topics such as resume, writing, interviewing techniques, personal finance, time management, completing an employment application, work place survival skills and community involvement. In addition, job seekers who complete a job readiness class are eligible for the Job Placement Program which provides resources and placements for individuals seeking employment.

This program is intended for Perry County residents, ages 16-24, who would like additional help getting their GED, obtaining soft skills to assist with gaining employment, and/or getting their life together.

Additional areas which are addressed include building stamina and increasing speed.

Goodwill provides job interview training for the community.

This SkillUP program provides SNAP participants opportunities to become more job ready.

Provides consulting and placement into employment for individuals and consulting and services to businesses for recruitment, screening, retention, and training of employees.

The Personal and Professional Development program is a 12 day class to help individuals progress towards their personal and professional goals

The SkillUP program provides SNAP participants opportunities to gain skills, training, or experience that will improve their ability to attain employment and decrease their dependency on public assistance programs. The intention of the SkillUP program is rapid attachment to work that leads to self-sufficiency for individuals and families. The program offers job search training, education, and supportive services to participants. The SkillUP program provides short-term training in the quickest possible time in order to lead to employment. Training should be completed within one year or less, must align with the participant’s employment plan, and lead to employment and self-sufficiency.
