All financial assistance is now provided through this comprehensive financial literacy program. Clients meet with a case manager regularly to learn about finances and get their bills in order.
Counselors provide personal budgeting assistance
One-on-one financial counseling, including help with budgeting, setting future financial goals, and using tools to rebuild credit, is available at the Women's Employment Network.
The FOC helps low income families stabilize their long term financial perspective by providing services through: job readiness and career improvement, financial education and access to public benefits.
Provides a one-hour basic financial education classes on budgeting, saving, etc.
Provides financial workshops to public on various topics such as credit and budgeting.
Economic Empowerment is an interactive program working with families to give them skills in budgeting, asset building, saving for a home, and retirement, bringing them to a more financially-stable place.
Offers a Payday/Title loan refinancing program in partnership with local banks. Participants are issued a low-interest loan to pay off high-interest loan balances.
Career Services/Readiness services may include budgeting and entrepreneurship.
Homebuyer education and workshops to be successful as a homeowner.
Debt Management Program participants make a single monthly payment to a consumer credit counseling service such as Money Management International, and the agency distributes the funds to their creditors.
The Financial Opportunity Center provides financial coaching. This program is a long term commitment, at least six months. Once enrolled in this program, a client may be eligible for some income supports.
NHS offers a HUD-approved homeownership education program for potential homebuyers.
Each participant will receive a personal financial coach and individualized budget counseling for one year. Participants will also attend a series of financial education classes, offered for children and adults.

HUD approved housing counseling provided. This is not rental assistance, but assistance with finding and securing rental property options

FEEA offers eligible federal employees confidential, no interest loans to help recover in times of emergency or hardship. Loans may be used to pay rent or mortgage payments, home utilities, or funeral expenses, out-of-pocket uncovered medical or dental expenses, emergency travel expenses, temporary lodging due to natural disaster.
Offers basic one-hour wokshops, relief from predatory lending through Kansas Loan Pool Project, and financial coaching through Family Financial Trasformation.
Web-based bankruptcy workshop. Cannot provide legal representation or filing assistance, but will provide a certificate of completion that is legally required to file bankruptcy in court.

The EOC provides an understanding of the different types of financial aid, college-cost comparison, understanding financial aid award letters from colleges and student loan borrowing basics. Participants may also utilize the FDIC Money Smart program which provides information on bank services, borrowing basics, opening a checking account, budgeting, saving and credit scores.
