Animal Control Unit for Platte County in Missouri is within the patrol division of the Platte County Missouri Sheriff's office. Primary investigation and enforcement is assigned to a dedicated deputy; all patrol deputies are trained to handle aggressive animals that could pose a risk to the public. Animal control efforts are limited to unincorporated areas of Platte County and also assisting the cities of Camden Point, Dearborn, Edgerton, Ferrelview, Houston Lake, Iatan, Lake Waukomis and Platte City.
