The City of Olathe provides several housing programs to eligible homeowners including the Deferred Loan Program, which is designed to address current building code violations, upgrade major systems and utilize energy-related improvements; the Emergency Repair Grant Program is for repairs that affect health and safety; and a Handicap Modification Program designed to eliminate barriers in the home.

Eligibility

Eligibility for all programs is based on several factors, some of which include: gross annual family income, appraised value of the home, current insurance policy on the property, real estate taxes must be up to date and proof of ownership must be provided for several of the programs

Required documents

Application, proof of income. Additional documents are required once contacted by the department.
