Advocates for Immigrant Rights and Reconciliation (AIRR KC) offers community support services for immigrants including an accompaniment program, a Legal Fund Initiative, and an emergency fund for assistance with rent and utilities. They offer Know Your Rights monthly sessions. They have a Leadership Development program through which immigrants and allies can develop their skills as advocates.

Eligibility

Be an immigrant; have a pending immigration hearing, ISAP, ICE or USCIS check in or have a pending municipal or city court case.

Application process

Call the main office to request service or request through the website. They ask for two weeks notice to guarantee an accompanier. If you have less time to contact them they will still consider the request, but will not guarantee.
