Electric Service Payment Assistance | Community Action Partnership - St. Joseph - LIHEAP

Eligibility

Customers do not have to be past due or disconnected to receive funds, just experiencing a financial loss, hardship, life-threatening condition or any circumstance that threatens stability if energy aid is not supplied. Beginning, 11/22/21, any household that has already received EA benefits prior to these changes, will receive a supplemental amount (to the same supplier) to pay the difference up to $636.

Applications can be picked up at the office and then either mailed in or returned to the following address (Community Action Partnership, 817 Monterey, St. Joseph, MO 64503. The application is also available online at the CAP website.

Community Action Partnership of Greater St. Joseph offers assistance with utility services. For the elderly and disabled applications are accepted 10.01.2026 and general population is 11.01.2026. Pledges are made to clients accounts after applications are processed.
