The HelpKC provides programs for women and girls through the What the HEC?™ Economic Mobility Model: Housing, Employment, and Credit. Services include structured transitional housing for eligible women, workforce readiness and community leadership, and credit and financial empowerment.
The HelpKC is not an emergency shelter and does not provide emergency financial assistance.
Eligibility
Adult women ages 18+ who can live independently and meet the program requirements. Applicants must have full-time employment or verified third-party financial support sufficient to meet program fees. Applicants must be able to participate independently in a structured shared living environment. Housing is for individual participants only; children and other family members cannot reside in the program.
Required documents
Government issued photo ID and verification of employment, income, or third-party financial support, as applicable. Additional documentation may be requested during eligibility review.
