The Cherry Street House is a 19-bedroom facility that provides temporary lodging for families of seriously ill children who must leave their own communities to seek medical care for their child.

Provides temporary lodging, respite, and all of the amenities of home convenient to local health facilities, creating a caring and uplifting environment, leveraging community partnerships with affiliated programs that comfort and assist children who have critical illnesses or injuries and their families. They provide three houses with a combined capacity of 80 bedrooms as well as 7 sleeping rooms inside Children's Mercy Hospital in the Family Room program.
