This is a service of the Bureau of Consular Affairs and focuses on informing and protecting American Citizens who are either traveling abroad or thinking of living abroad. They offer tips and information on other countries as well as put out travel watches and warnings. They also provide information on travel documents.

Other services include international parental child abduction, international adoption, recorded information on custody and adoptions, denial of passports to minors in certain circumstances such as abductions.
