General Paratransit/Community Ride Programs | Catch-A-Ride Johnson County, Kansas

Catch-a-Ride is a volunteer transportation program for senior adults, people with a disability, and others who are not able to drive and do not have access to other means of transportation. Through Catch-a-Ride, volunteers transport residents in their own vehicles to essential appointments in Johnson County. Donations are welcomed to aid in mileage reimbursement for our volunteer drivers.

Application process

Application must be completed prior to receiving services; five day advance notice is required

Fee

The suggested donation is $5 each way ($10 round trip). Riders will not be denied service because they cannot afford to make a donation

Eligibility

18+, cannot transport children. Cannot drive and do not have another means of transportation. Riders must be able to transfer into and out of the car. Only hand on elbow assistance is provided.
