Description
The office of Emergency Preparedness for Jackson County is a part of the Executive offices of the county. This office is responsible for preparing, planning and coordinating the various agencies that would respond to emergency situations within Jackson County Missouri. They prepare for disasters and large scale emergencies that are either man made or are caused by nature. This office is also responsible for developing and maintaining an Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and operating a functional Emergency Operations Center (EOC) that is on call 24/7.
