Minor Home Repair provides safety and security repair services to help low-income seniors and disabled households live safely in their own home. Repairs may include handrails, grab bars, weatherization, energy efficient lighting, removal of brush/debris causing safety issues, installation of wheelchair ramps, or other safety issues in the home. Larger projects are considered on a case by case basis dependent upon funding available. Program currently serves Kansas City, MO, Jackson County, MO, and Johnson County, KS households.

Eligibility

Must be the homeowner; age 65+, low-income, and/or persons with a disability or a veteran. Income restrictions apply depending on city/county of residence.
