Eligibility

60 years of age and older; homeowners with current insurance policy; income eligible Acceptable repairs are grouped into four categories and include the following: SAFETY: installing grab bars/Handheld shower heads, replacing/repairing stair railings, changing light bulbs, replacing batteries in smoke alarms, building ramps. ELECTRICAL: replacing switches/outlets & fixing/replacing light fixtures/lamps. PLUMBING: faucet repair/replacement, fixing leaking toilet/sink/bathtub. MAINTENANCE: lighting pilot lights on furnace/water heater, weather stripping/caulking, putting plastic over windows. UNACCEPTABLE repairs include the following: indoor/cosmetic painting, yard work, lawn care & gutter work
