Pre-screening for eligibility occurs by phone. Then an in person meeting is scheduled to complete paperwork and document eligibility.

Eligibility
Individual/head of household or spouse must: be a U.S. Veteran with active military, naval, or air serviceand was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable or dismissed by reason of a general court-martial; fall below the Area Median Income based on guidelines for their county; be literally homeless or at significant risk of homelessness (as defined by the McKinney-Vento Act as amended by the Hearth Act); want to reside in Kansas or Northwest Missouri. HUD-VASH participants must fall below the AMI guidelines for their location and must meet HUD's definition of chronically homeless.
