Provides general legal aid, legal representation and legal counseling for active duty veterans and current active duty military in the areas of VA benefits & appeals, warrants, criminal charges, child custody, child support, divorce, orders of protection, guardianship, debt counseling, landlord/tenant issues, estate planning, tax law, real estate, bankruptcy, employment issues and business issues.

Application process

Call 2-1-1 for intake. CALL SPECIALIST: Collect caller name and phone number and email it to BERNITA with call log number and known details and include "LEGAL ASSISTANCE" in subject line.

Fee

Services are offered low bono or pro bono depending on the volunteer. The foundation has funds set aside to help cover fees, if applicable.
