The Missouri Family Support Division offers several social service programs to help Missouri families. Services include food stamps, TANF and MO HealthNet applications.
Eligibility
Must meet income guidelines, and need child care because you have a child under age thirteen, or age thirteen or older with a special need, and you are: working; attending school; in job training; disabled; being evaluated for training and/or employment; receiving child welfare services from the Department of Social Services Children’s Division; and/or you have a child with special needs.
Required documents
Photo ID, SS numbers for everyone in the household, proof of address, proof of income and resources, including award letters. To check on your status, you may also use your case number.

Application process
Walk in or call to request that an application be mailed to you. You will also need to complete an interview with FSD.
Fees
Child care providers receive payment directly from DSS for payment of the state rate (varies by county), less any sliding fee. You are responsible for paying the sliding fee and any co-payment charges to the child care provider (except for Children’s Division families child care assistance). Parents/guardians can lose their child care assistance for failure to pay their sliding fee. Children with special needs may have sliding fee waived.
