Application process

Applications can be completed and submitted online at mydss.mo.gov/utility-assistance/liheap or submit application by mail, email, or drop off completed information in the drop box outside the office. Call to request an application be mailed to you. Office is not open for public entry. Application is available on website and outside the office however applications cannot be completed on site. Clients will be notified by mail when payments have been approved or if additional information is needed.

Description

Applications can be completed and submitted online at mydss.mo.gov/utility-assistance/liheap The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps low-income people meet their energy needs with payment assistance for utility bills in the winter and a crisis intervention program throughout the year if there is a possibility of shut off. If someone is unsure if their account is in threat they can submit an application and the agency will reach out to the utility company to verify.
