Veteran Support Groups | University Health Behavioral Health Crossroads Counseling

Help veterans identify the stressors in their own lives or what they experienced in the military (combat exposure or exposure to terrorism) and to develop better ways of reducing or managing stress in their relationships. May be those experiencing PTSD or acute stress disorder.

Application process

Walk-in care is available Monday through Friday from 8am – 12 pm A master's-level mental health professional will meet with you and help you get the care you need. Each person who utilizes walk-in hours will be assessed and connected to appropriate services.

Fee

Medicaid, Medicare and most types of commercial insurance. Flat fee for services, also accepts Truman discount.

Eligibility

Recent trauma exposure and Acute Stress Reaction OR people suspected to have Acute Stress Disorder (ASD) or Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Languages

Arabic, Somali and Spanish. Phone-based interpreter services are available for other languages. American sign language.
