The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) is America's largest membership organization of combat veterans. The organization has obtained veterans a variety of important preferential guarantees in the areas of education, medical care, home loans, entitlements, etc. The VFW is a non-governmental entity that should not be confused with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
